Tavily provides web search for AI applications. Connecting Tavily to Oscilla lets your conversations draw on current public information, making it useful for researching a topic, exploring recent developments, and finding supporting sources.

How it works

When Web Search is enabled in a conversation, Oscilla sends Tavily a search query based on your question. Tavily returns relevant results, and Oscilla can extract readable text from public pages for additional context. Your selected model uses the retrieved information to write the response, while source links let you explore the original material.

Configure

Create an API key in the Tavily dashboard, then open Settings → Web Search in Oscilla. Choose Configure under Tavily, paste your key, and select Save API Key. Use Test Connection to verify access, select Tavily for Web Search, and enable Web Search in your conversation. Your key is stored in your device’s Keychain. Searches and connection tests use your Tavily account and are subject to its usage limits and charges.
