Exa is a web search service built for AI applications, helping find relevant pages and useful source material across the public web. Connecting Exa to Oscilla gives your conversations access to fresh information for research, comparisons, and questions that benefit from current sources.

How it works

When Web Search is enabled in a conversation, Oscilla turns your question into a search query and sends it to Exa. Exa returns relevant pages and excerpts, and Oscilla can retrieve page content when more detail is needed. Your selected model uses that material to compose its response, with source links you can review.

Configure

Create an API key in the Exa dashboard, then open Settings → Web Search in Oscilla. Choose Configure under Exa, paste your key, and select Save API Key. Use Test Connection to verify access, select Exa for Web Search, and enable Web Search in your conversation. Your key is stored in your device’s Keychain. Searches and connection tests use your Exa account and are subject to its usage limits and charges.
