This Privacy Policy for Martechia LLC (doing business as Oscilla) (“Oscilla,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) explains how we handle information in connection with the Oscilla mobile application and any related services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

Oscilla is designed primarily as a local-first application. Most AI processing, including local model inference, conversations, memories, and related app data, happens directly on your device.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

No Account Registration or Direct Payment Collection

The Services do not require account creation for core local model features, and we do not process payments directly for those core local model features at this time.

Information You Provide Directly to Us

We may receive information that you choose to provide directly to us, such as when you contact us by email for support, legal, or privacy-related inquiries. This may include your name, email address, and any other information you include in your message.

Information Processed for Model Downloads

When you download a supported local model through the App, Hugging Face may process limited technical information needed to fulfill that request, such as IP address, session or location information, and device or browser details.

We do not use that model-download flow to send the contents of your local conversations, memories, files, photos, contacts, or biometric data to Hugging Face for on-device model use.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Local conversations, memories, model files, and related local app data are stored on your device. We do not collect or store that local content on our servers solely because you use those on-device features.

Device Permissions

Depending on the features you choose to use, the App may request permission to access certain device capabilities, such as files, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, or local storage. These permissions are controlled by your device settings. Data accessed through these permissions remains local unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS INFORMATION?

We process limited information to:

  • provide and maintain the Services;


  • respond to support, legal, or privacy inquiries you send to us;


  • facilitate supported local model downloads to your device through Hugging Face;


  • comply with legal obligations; and


  • protect the Services, our rights, and users from fraud, abuse, or misuse.


We do not process the contents of your on-device conversations, memories, or local model inference on our servers solely because you use those local features.

3. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING

Where required by applicable law, we process personal information only when we have a valid legal basis to do so, including:

  • your consent;


  • performance of a contract with you;


  • compliance with legal obligations; and


  • our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.


If we rely on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, subject to applicable law.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE INFORMATION?

We may share limited information in the following situations:

Hugging Face Model Downloads

We may rely on Hugging Face to facilitate supported local model downloads. Limited technical information may be processed as part of that download request.

Business Transfers

We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, or similar transaction.

Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or if reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or the Services.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share the content of your local conversations, memories, or on-device model inference from our servers because we do not collect that local content on our servers solely through your use of those on-device features.

5. AI FEATURES AND LOCAL MODEL USE

Oscilla provides features powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and local language models.

These features are designed primarily for on-device use. Local model inference, conversations, memories, and related app data are intended to remain on your device unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise.

The Services do not require account creation for core local model features, and we do not process payments directly for those core local model features at this time.

We may make third-party local models available through our model catalog for download to your device. Your use of those third-party models is also subject to the applicable model licenses and policies described in our Terms of Service.

6. ON-DEVICE PROCESSING

Oscilla is designed so that most AI processing happens directly on your device. Local model inference, conversations, memories, and related local app data are processed and stored on-device.

We do not collect or store on our servers the content of data processed solely through these on-device features.

Your locally stored app data remains private to you and under your control on your device.

7. HUGGING FACE INTERACTION

We use Hugging Face to help deliver supported local model downloads to your device.

We do not send the content of your local conversations, memories, files, photos, contacts, or biometric data to Hugging Face for on-device model use. However, Hugging Face may process limited technical information needed to complete the download request, such as your IP address, session or location information, and device or browser details, as part of providing its service.

8. DATA EXPORT

Because your local app data remains stored on your device, you can retrieve it at any time through Settings → Data Export.

The Data Export feature allows you to export locally stored app data, including conversations, memories, and other supported local app data stored on your device.

We do not own or keep copies of this locally stored data on our servers solely because you use those on-device features.

9. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP INFORMATION?

If you contact us directly, we keep that correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Local conversations, memories, exports, and similar local app data are stored on your device unless you delete them.

We do not keep server-side copies of local conversations, memories, or local model inference solely because you use those on-device features.

10. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the Services. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, please contact us at privacy@oscilla.ai, and we will take appropriate steps.

11. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

Because most Oscilla data is stored locally on your device, many privacy controls are available directly in the App or through your device settings, including deletion and export of local data.

12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Some browsers and platforms offer “Do Not Track” settings. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to interpret these signals across apps and services, we do not currently respond to them.

13. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Residents of certain US states may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal data we may maintain.

Because Oscilla is designed as a local-first app, much of the information associated with your use of local models, conversations, and memories remains on your device and is not maintained by us on our servers.

To exercise any privacy rights regarding information we may actually maintain, email privacy@oscilla.ai.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

14. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

Yes. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this notice.

If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice within the App or by other reasonable means.
